feather flip

A feather flip is a 1/2 impossible late anticasper flip, I know two ways to do this trick, you can start like you would for an impossible or you can start like you would for a pressure flip (the one looking like an inward flip, so it's a "backside toeside varial pressure flip" to be precise).

Animated gif (with an impossible start)

With an ollie impossible start:
1/ Put your feet like you would for an ollie impossible.
2/ Do an ollie impossible, try to make it wrap around your back foot and spin almost vertical.
3/ As soon as the board has reached 3/8 or 1/2 impossible and is upside down put your front foot on the graphics side (anywhere, I personnally put it on the bottom of the nose) and let the back foot under the board (it may slide a bit toward the tail, but I think you don't have to mind about that), this is the "anticasper stance" in midair.
4/ Raise your back foot up and forward and push with your front foot down and backward to induce the late anticasper flip, the board will spin vertical/fs. Lift your front foot as soon as the anticasper flip motion has started, it will help for the landing.
5/ Land.

With a pressure flip start:
1/ and 2/ do half a pressure flip to get the board upside down, the rest is the same, except you may lose back foot contact so you may have to think about puting your back under the board after the 1/2 pressure flip (which can look very good).

Tips:
-Be fast, you have to make it quick if you want to have the time to put your feet back on the grip before landing, the late anticasper flip should happen at the peak of the trick or even before.
-You can try this: think about a fast exagerated impossible then scissor kick the board.
-Shin guards can be useful when learnig this trick.
-This trick can becom very consistent, it's cool if you wish to do it in lines

Variations:
-You can do frontside feather flips which may be easier to learn than the regular version.
-You can also do bigspin feather flips which are a lot harder but look very good (in my opinion).
-If you want a challenge, you can also learn switch epsilon flips (or regular epsilon flips if you are good at nollie feather flips), they are (switch) varial 1/2 heelflip late casper flip, and can also be seen as (switch) ollie front foot feather flips.

bubble flip

A bubble flip is ideally a 1/2 heelside pressure flip late 3/2 back foot frontside varial underflip, but most of the time it is done with 1/4 to 3/8 heelside pressure flip.
This trick is a cross between a bubble and a classic freestyle trick called "one and a half kickback" (3/2 kickback), but it's a lot harder than both of these, in fact the bubble flip is harder than it looks.

Animated gif for the bubble flip

What you may need:
-the bubble.
-the 3/2 kickback may help but isn't necessary in my opinion.

Feet setting, it's the one you would use for a bubble:
-the front foot is close to the front bolts and perpendicular to the deck.
-the back foot is between the middle and the back truck, heel is hanging, only the toes are on the board.

How to launch the trick:
-Start as you would for a bubble with a 3/8 (straight) heelside pressure flip, and let the toes under the board, in contact with the griptape
-Raise the back foot quickly to do the 11/8 varial underflip, it's like a bubble except you have to flick harder to make the board do en extra flip
-let the board spin and flip then land.

Animated gif for the critical part of the trick

Tips:
-try several tweaks in your feet placement and the direction of the back foot's flick until the board spins and flips as wanted.
-protect your shoes with your favorite shoo goo or pistol glue (which is better imho) because this trick can wear the back shoe out quickly

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Here are some variations:
-the most popular is the semi flip, which is a ollie version of the bubble flip, it's a 1/4 kickflip late 5/4 back foot varial underflip (semi flip trick tip).
-the front foot bubble flip, which is done frontside with the front foot (so it's not a nollie bubble flip).
-the zombie flip, which is a 3/8 toeside underflip fs body varial late backside varial 11/8 underflip.
-the cannibal flip, which is a 360 bubble flip.

laser (or lazer) flip

A laser flip is a 360 (frontside) varial heelflip, it is also sometimes spelled "lazer flip" and sometimes called "360 heelflip", here is a method to do them:

This method may require:
-varial heelflip.
-fs impossible or plasma spin (fs bigspin impossible).

feet placement:
-put the back foot on the heelside corner of the tail like you would for a varial heelflip.
-put the front foot close to the middle of the board with the toes hanging from the toe side.

how to do it:
1/ scrape the tail very hard as you would do for a fs impossible to make the board start to spin and to help the work of the front foot by making the board stick to this foot.
2/ flick hard and forward (in the direction you are heading to) with the font foot, it's important because it will push the board forward so it won't land behind you.
3/ jump forward while doing the first steps, this trick takes space so you have to jump quite far forward.
4/ land.

Tips:
-On flatland it's hard to have them fully rotated, I suggest to learn them off a bank or off a ledge first, they will be alot easier.
-They usually spin better with a good amount of speed.

ollie late flip (or ollie back foot kickflip)

The ollie late flip (or back foot kickflip) is an advanced trick and is harder than it looks, to do this you basically have to ollie and to do a flip with your back foot at the peak of the ollie.

Animated gif 1

feet placement:
-the front foot should be near the front bolts, perpendicular to the board and all the way across the width of the board, to prevent any kind of unwanted front foot flipping.
-the back foot is on the tail, like an ollie.

the trick:
-do an ollie.
-in midair put all your weight above the front foot, and remove the back foot from the deck.
-at the peak of the ollie hit the heel side of the deck with your back foot toes very close to the edge, somewhere between the middle and the back bolts.
-immediatly lift your back foot up after hitting the deck. let the board flip.
-land.

some tips:
-the key to land a late flip is to stay over the board, you have to commit and to land whatever happens.
-try to do ollie late 1/2 flip first, a late 1/2 flip landed with both feet is way better than a late flip landed with a foot on the floor (which is bad).
-they are easier rolling fakie or on a bank, doing them off a curb can also help if you are stuck to late 1/2 flips.

Variations:
-the ollie late flip can be done varial to get late hardflips and ollie back foot varial flips, both are usually easier to learn than the straight late flip.
-you can use the late flip move to break many tricks, using any foot, most popular variations are pop shuvit late flip, 1/2 impossible late 1/2 flip, 1/2 heelflip late 1/2 flip, and Haslam flip, but there are many others such as the nollie backside bigspin late flip.
-you can also do back foot heelflips (those have many variations to).

semi flip

A semi flip is a 1/4 kickflip late frontside back foot varial 5/4 underflip.
Here is how I do them, I don't know if it's the best looking method, but it works pretty well and can allow to get them consistent.
Knowing how to double kickflip and to bubble flip may be helpfull.

Animated gif 1
Animated gif 2

Feet placement:
-It's the same feet placement you would use for a double kickflip.
-the back foot is ready to do like it would for a bubble flip.

How to do the trick:
1/ do a quick 1/4 kickflip (not too high) and leave the top of back foot's toes in contact with the griptape.
2/ raise your back foot to do the frontside varial 5/4 underflip (like you would for a bubble flip), try to push the board a bit forward so it stays under you.
3/ land.

Tips:
-try to do a real 1/2 kickflip start, even if it may flip only 1/4, this will help by making the board stick to your back foot toes.
-try many small adjustements in your position and the direction you jump into, this is a matter of precision, it doesn't require a big pop or a high jump.
-sometimes it can help to think about a small double kickflip.
-it may also help to allready put a (very) small amount of fs rotation in your 1/4 kickflip.

Variations:
-the bigspin semi flip which is hard to do regular on flatground but can be done on slopes or fakie.
-it's possible to do 360 semi flips.
