A sigma flip is a varial 1/2 kickflip late anticasper flip, it looks like a feather flip but with a weird start, I think the sigma flip looks better but is harder. This is an advanced trick.

You may need:
-360 flip or varial kickflip (if you don't land these tricks yet, check Aronl's trick-tips for the 360 flip and the varial kickflip).
-some "late trick" notion, for example late fs shuvit.
-ollie one foot (ollie north)
How to do it:
1/ put your feet like you would for a 360 flip
2/ do like a 360 flip but exagerate the front leg extension (like you would for an ollie one foot), this will let the board flip.
3/ once the board has done 180° with 1/2 flip catch it with your back foot from below (put your foot at the place where the board is gonna be at this point and let the board come to the top of the foot), and push on the graphics side of the deck with the front foot, it will induce the late anticasper flip motion, the board spin vertical/frontside, as soon as you pushed with the front foot, raise it so it stays above the board.
4/ land
Tips:
-think about "360 flip one foot" then "scissor kick the board", you have to do it quick or else you won't be able to land.
-learning this trick hurts, shoes that protect from hits and shin guards can be a good idea.
-they are easier off a curb, you may also try them fakie first.
