A plasma spin is a frontside bigspin impossible, frontside impossibles are sometimes called heelside impossibles and are impossibles that spin frontside/vertical instead of backside/vertical as impossibles usually do.

Feet placement for the plasma spin:
-the back foot has to be on the heelside of the tail, only the toes are on the board.
-the front foot can be anywhere, for example between the front bolts and the middle of the deck, you may have to let the toes hang from the toe side to keep your balance.
How to do it:
1/ apply a lot of pressure on the corner of the tail with your back foot, prepare yourself to spin frontside by turning your shoulders almost 90° frontside.
2/ raise your front foot and put it out of the way, and scrape the heelside edge of the tail by pushing/dragging with your back foot forward (in the direction your rolling to), it will put the board upside down, keep pushing forward until your legs do the 180 body varial, it will also automatically complete the fs impossible motion.
3/ land in switch stance.
Tips:
-they are a lot easier on a bank or a slope.
-I do them by applying pressure with the external edge of my back foot, you can see this on the first gif, it's not necessary but I think it may help, especially if you are a bubble addict, because with this foot position you can think of them as "bigspin ollie bubbles".
-try to make them wrap around your back foot, you have to feel the contact of the board with the top of your foot.
Variations:
the plasma spin has several interesting variations, for example:
-you can do fakie plasma spin.
-you can add some footwork to your plasma spins, for example plasma spin revert.
-you can also do them without the 180 body follow, which results in a frontside impossible.
-They can also be done backside, which results in a bigspin impossible.
